On Wednesday, the DA retained Ward 14 in Middelburg, Steve Tshwete Local Municipality with an increased majority. Voters chose to unite behind the DA once again, the only party committed to excellent service delivery.
The DA clinched the Ward with an increase from 79,79% in the 2021 Local Government Elections to 96.58% on the 28 June’s poll.
Elsie Vermooten, born and raised Middelburg resident, takes up the position of Ward 14 Councillor. She is committed to tackling crumbling infrastructure, street light outages and illegal dumping prevalent in the ward.
We have full confidence that Elsie will continue to deliver on the DA’s values to the community that she is elected to serve and wish her the greatest success. We will continue to work tirelessly in Ward 14 and across the entire province of Mpumalanga.
It is the DA’ track record of honest, transparent and people centred governance that all South Africans deserve.
This victory gives a boost to our momentum for the 2024 general election.
We thank every voter who again decided to place their confidence in the DA. Together we can save our town.
