Today, the DA in Steve Tshwete welcomed Ena Uys, former Middelburg Hendrina Residents Front (MHRF) councillor. Uys will stand as a candidate for DA in Ward 10 ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections.
This comes after she was subjected to the DA’s rigorous candidate selection process. Uys brings with her wealth of experience in local government, having served in Steve Tshwete’s Council from 2001-2016 and thereafter from 2021-2026. During this period, she served as the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Corporate (2006-2011) and Finance (2011-2016).
Additionally, she held leadership positions in various community and charity driven initiatives, reiterating her love, dedication and commitment to the residents of Steve Tshwete.
The DA has full confidence in her ability to win Ward 10 and to serve residents with admiration, dedication and commitment. As The DA’s growth in capacity in Steve Tshwete continues to grow in capacity, this signals the DA’s readiness to take over this municipality and change the lives of residents.
Our exceptional track record in governance speaks volumes. With a DA government, Steve Tshwete will welcome new investors, the private sector will be brought in to accelerate service delivery, infrastructure will be looked after and maintained and the municipality will appoint skilled individuals on merit.
