The DA in Mpumalanga is pleased to note that the provincial government has heeded to our call and improved the Tondeldoos Road in Emakhazeni.

When we conducted an oversight in 2022, we discovered that the road was severely eroded and filled with stones. It was of utmost importance for the government to intervene as the dilapidated road was becoming a threat to motorists and other road users.

This is a major road that links Dullstroom to Tonteldoos. Noting the above and the fact that this road is utilized by the community to get to schools, clinics and places of work, we fought the provincial government tirelessly to improve its condition.

Recently we conducted an oversight on this road and we were pleased to witness  that community members and tourists are driving on this road with ease after it was graded. This is not only a victory for the DA, but a victory for the community of Emakhazeni which was directly affected by the poor state of this road.

The DA will continue to carry out oversight inspections to ensure that the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport is  maintaining the road consistently and ensures that it stays in a good condition.

We will not rest, we will continue to hold the ANC government accountable, service delivery is non negotiable. The DA in Mpumalanga will continue to fight for residents in Emakhazeni and other parts of the province to ensure that their lives are changed for the better.
